MINNEAPOLIS - Candice "Candy" Mass, 44, Minneapolis, formerly of Brainerd, died Saturday, October 21, 1995, as a result of a traffic accident on Highway 371 south of Brainerd.

She was born November 6, 1950, in Brainerd to Melvin and Doris (Ruby) Mass. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1969. She attended Brainerd Technical College and two years of college. She worked for the Minneapolis school system in the special education department as a teacher's aide.

She was a race car owner and driver for the North Central Motor Speedway in Brainerd.

Survivors include her father; three sisters, Marie Kittredge, Boston, Wendy Showers, California, and Lawana "Jean" Dosh, Brainerd; and three brothers, Don Mass and Chuck Mass both of Brainerd, and Wally Mass, Wheaton.

Her mother died earlier.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with the Rev. harold Erickson officiating.

Friends may call at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday.
