After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1975 with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, I have enjoyed a career in local government eventually becoming the Polk County Engineer at Crookston, Minnesota and since 1995 the Public Works Director for the City of St. Louis Park.  That currently adds up to over 34 years of public service;

I am hoping to be able to retire within the next few years and to relocate back to the Brainerd (or northern Minnesota) area.  I have really enjoyed my career – it has been very challenging at times, I have involved in developing and constructing many beneficial public improvements, and finally, I have met a lot of great people and made many friends along the way.

Claudia, my 2nd wife, and I have a blended family of 3 sons all in their 30’s and 4 grandchildren – and thankfully all living on their own.  We love being empty nesters!
Since High School I have enjoyed an active outdoor style of life including softball, hunting, fishing, camping, and scuba just to name a few.

And, for the past 15 years Claudia and I have enjoyed short vacations to various Caribbean locations with friends and family; although, work has cut into that more than we like the past several years!  Finally, we are active in the St. Louis Park Lions which tends to take up most of our “spare” time.
We hope your life has been as blessed and enjoyable as ours; and we are looking for the best yet to come!
